I love bank holiday weekends, it's sunday and I don't have to go to work today. Then after the 4 day week, Phil and I are going to Paris! Phil's mum has already made excited noises about the city of romance and the top of the Eiffel Tower, she's going to be disappointed if she gets her hopes up. Besides, the Eiffel Tower is such a cliched place to propose (actually that'd be perfect for Phil, he could propose and piss me off at the same time. Good thing I've already banned him from doing it).

The new job is going well, not that I've really done much work. I have been making mobile phase and standards for the HPLC, filling lots of capsules and archiving folders. I don't feel like I really deserve the paycheck I just got, but I'm not complaining. My bank account hasn't had this much money in for a long time :-)

I would say there's nothing cuter than a Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks film on TV, but then I have this page open. Warning - do not click on that link if you don't want to melt in a puddle of goo or if you hate kittens. I may have to make myself another icon. I would right now, but I've just realised this laptop has a distinct lack of photo-editing software.

I was looking at stuff about the GoF film earlier, and the trailer looks pretty good. I'm not convinced about Cho, but I definitely approved of Cedric. I offer this picture as evidence.
